Order Cancellation

Each order placed with The Scent Lab is bespoke and decanted to order. Once a sample has been prepared, it cannot be undone. For this reason, orders may only be canceled before decanting begins.

If you need to cancel or modify an order, please contact us as soon as possible. Requests received after preparation has started cannot be accommodated.


Order Modifications

Requests to modify an order—including size changes, fragrance substitutions, or shipping address updates—must be submitted before the order has been decanted or shipped. Once preparation begins, modifications are no longer possible due to the custom nature of our products.


Authenticity Guarantee

We guarantee that every fragrance offered by The Scent Lab is 100% authentic and decanted directly from the original bottle. If documentation is required to verify authenticity, we are happy to provide it upon request.

Transparency and quality are central to everything we do.


Returns & Refunds

Due to the custom, made-to-order nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges.

If your order arrives damaged or leaking, we will gladly offer a replacement or refund. Clear photos of the damaged item and original packaging are required to process any claim.


Minor Leakage Disclaimer

Fragrance may be subject to temperature and pressure changes during transit. In rare cases, minor leakage or cosmetic residue on exterior packaging may occur and does not necessarily affect the usable volume of the fragrance.

Minor cosmetic residue is not considered damage. Significant leakage that impacts product usability will be addressed under our Returns & Refunds policy.


Shipping & Processing

All orders are shipped via USPS Ground Advantage, as fragrance is classified as a flammable substance and cannot be transported by air.

Typical delivery time is 5–7 business days after shipment.

  • Orders placed typically ship within 1-3 days, depending on demand
  • International shipping is not currently available

Shipping Delays

While we strive to process and ship all orders promptly, shipping times are estimates and may be affected by factors beyond our control, including weather conditions, holidays, carrier delays, or service disruptions.


Lost or Stolen Packages

Once an order has been shipped and marked as delivered by the carrier, The Scent Lab is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

If your package is missing, we recommend contacting USPS directly to file a claim.


Incorrect Shipping Address

Please review your shipping details carefully before completing your purchase. We cannot issue refunds or replacements for orders shipped to an incorrect address provided at checkout.


Pricing & Listing Errors

While we strive for accuracy, The Scent Lab reserves the right to correct pricing errors, product descriptions, or availability issues at any time. In the event of an error, we may cancel the affected order and issue a full refund.


Temperature Exposure

Fragrance is sensitive to extreme heat and cold. While all orders are packaged carefully, The Scent Lab is not responsible for fragrance degradation caused by prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures during transit.


Fraud & Abuse

The Scent Lab reserves the right to refuse service or cancel orders suspected of fraud, abuse, or repeated policy violations. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in account restrictions.
