Sample Sizes
Do 1mL samples have a sprayer?
Yes. All 1mL samples are shipped in 2mL spray vials that are half filled. This allows us to include a sprayer instead of a dabber, giving you a much better sampling experience.
Why is my 1mL sample only half full?
This is normal. 1mL samples are packaged in 2mL atomizer bottles, which means the vial will appear half full. The fragrance volume is still 1mL, but the larger bottle allows us to provide a sprayer rather than a dabber.
How many sprays are in a sample?
On average, 1mL of fragrance contains approximately 10–15 sprays, depending on how firmly the atomizer is pressed.
Authenticity
Are your fragrances authentic?
Yes. All fragrances sold by The Scent Lab are 100% authentic and sourced from genuine retail bottles. We decant fragrances from original bottles into smaller sample sizes so customers can test scents before committing to a full bottle.
Labels
My samples arrived without readable labels. How do I identify them?
If the labels are missing or unreadable, your order may have experienced a leak during shipping. We use thermal labels, which can fade or erase if exposed to fragrance oils.
If this happens, please contact support with your order number and we will help resolve the issue.
Shipping & Tracking
I received a tracking number but there are no updates. Has my order shipped?
Not necessarily. Receiving a tracking number means the shipping label has been created, but the package may not have been dispatched yet.
After a label is created:
Orders may take up to 3 business days to be dispatched, and
Tracking updates may take up to 24 hours after USPS receives the package to appear.
When will my order ship?
Orders are typically shipped within 3 business days.
I ordered a while ago and my order hasn’t shipped. What happened?
In rare cases, delays can occur for one of two reasons:
• The package may have been misrouted or delayed by the postal service.
• The order may include a fragrance that is temporarily pending restock.
If your order appears delayed beyond the normal shipping timeframe, please contact support and include your order number so we can investigate.
